Uplands across Tsu and Iga, gently rolling, with rows of wind turbines.
About this place
A gently rolling plateau at the heart of the Muro-Akame-Aoyama Quasi-National Park in Mie. You can see clusters of Japanese andromeda and azaleas in spring, silver grass plumes in autumn, and rime ice in winter. The plateau drive is about 12 km, running from Mt. Kasatori to Aoyama Pass, and near the summit there is a large wind power facility with dozens of wind turbines.
