About this place
The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a mountain sightseeing route with a total length of 37.2 km connecting Tateyama Station in Tateyama, Nakaniikawa District, Toyama Prefecture, and Ogizawa Station in Oaza Taira, Omachi, Nagano Prefecture. It was named on July 1, 1970 (Showa 45), and the entire line opened on June 1, 1971 (Showa 46). Note that the route is sometimes taken to include the section from Dentetsu-Toyama Station to Tateyama Station and from Ogizawa Station to Nagano Station.
