About this place
In Taketori Park in Koryo, Nara, there are reconstructed pit dwellings and a raised-floor storehouse. They are remains of the Kofun period, based on the plan shapes found in the excavation of the Nara Prefectural No. 2 Purification Center. The pit dwelling has a living area about 4 m square with a trapezoidal embankment, and the raised-floor storehouse measures 3 by 6 m, with a thatched upper structure supported by posts set in the ground.
