About this place
A gentle hill 148 m high at the center of Asuka in Asuka Village, Nara. From the summit you can see all of Asuka Village, as well as Mt. Miminashi, Mt. Unebi, and Mt. Amanokagu, the Three Mountains of Yamato. It is said that the father and son Soga no Emishi and Soga no Iruka once built their residences at the foot of the hill, and the area has been developed as the Amakashi Hill district of Asuka Historical National Government Park.
