About this place
A waterfall about 50 m high with abundant water, in Kawakami Village, Nara. Its name comes from the legend of the dragonfly that saved the 21st Emperor Yuryaku from a horsefly, and on fine days a rainbow forms, hence the other name Nijiko. The spray catching the sunlight and bringing out a rainbow is beautiful.
