A 634-metre mountain. From the summit you see the Echigo plain, the Sea of Japan and as far as Sado Island.
About this place
A mountain 634 m high in Yahiko Village, Niigata Prefecture. From it you can see the Echigo Plain, the Sea of Japan and even Sado Island. By using the ropeway or the Skyline you can easily reach the summit area. At the summit stands the Yahiko Shrine mausoleum. In spring, dogtooth violets and Japanese snow-split flowers bloom, and about 10,000 hydrangeas are planted at the Summit Park and the ropeway base station.
