About this place
Michi-no-Eki Niigata Furusato Mura is a roadside station on National Routes 8 and 17 in Yamada, Nishi Ward, Niigata, Niigata Prefecture. It opened in July 1991 (Heisei 3) as Niigata Furusato Mura on the site of the former Niigata Prefecture Driver's License Testing Center in Yamada, Kurosaki Town, Nishikanbara District (as it was then). The name Niigata Furusato Mura has been used as the facility's general name since opening, but when it was registered as a roadside station on 22 April 1993 (Heisei 5), its official name was registered as Michi-no-Eki Kurosaki, after the town name at the time.
