About this place
A park on top of a small hill in Iwafune, Murakami, Niigata Prefecture. About 500 Somei-Yoshino and double-flowered cherry trees bloom, at their best from mid-April to early May, and from the summit you can see the Sea of Japan, Senami Onsen and even, in the distance, Awashima and Sado Island. The slope road to the summit is narrow.
