Overview
Cherry trees along the Arakawa in Sekikawa, at their best in early April.
About this place
A row of cherry trees at Takase Onsen in Sekikawa Village, Niigata Prefecture. It continues for about 600 m from Yakushido, and at night lanterns are lit so you can view night cherry blossoms. Climbing the embankment, you can see Mt. Irisashi, the northernmost peak of the Iide Mountains, still with snow, and from Maruyama Ohashi bridge over the Arakawa River you can see Sekikawa Village together with the row of cherry trees. There are 90 cherry trees.
