About this place
A coast in Bungotakada, Oita Prefecture, known as the only place in the prefecture where you can see the sun set on the horizon. It is selected as one of the 100 Best Sunsets of Japan. Even at the lowest tide some water remains and forms a tidal flat, and photos can be taken of the shallow flats and the water surface glowing gold in the sunset, so many photographers and tourists visit.
