Overview
A shrine in Bungo-ono.
About this place
A Kumano shrine in Shibakita, Inukai, Bungoono. On the rock wall behind the shrine building (welded tuff from the Aso pyroclastic flow about 90,000 years ago), the characters for Kumano Shrine are carved large. Groundwater wells up from below the cliff, suggesting it was a sacred place that was an object of worship.
