About this place
The ruins of a river port in Inukai, Bungoono, Oita Prefecture, built in the early Edo period. The Oka Domain, to which half of Bungoono belonged, opened it as a logistics hub because its territory was in the mountains. The stone paving where cargo was loaded and unloaded from river boats remains, laid with cut stones of Aso welded tuff.
