Overview
Two stone bridges in Bungo-ono standing side by side, with large arch spans.
About this place
Two closely spaced arched stone bridges over the Okudake River in Kiyokawa, Bungoono. Todoro Bridge, built in 1934 (Showa 9) as a forest railway bridge, is a double-span bridge, and Deai Bridge was built in 1924 (Taisho 13). On both banks of the river you can see columnar jointing of Aso pyroclastic flow welded tuff, so you can enjoy natural forms and man-made forms at once.
