About this place
A temple in Asaji, Bungoono. The cliff-carved Buddha engraved on the grounds is over 11 meters high, centered on a Fudo Myoo statue, flanked by Kongara Doji and Seitaka Doji, with Tamonten and Benzaiten carved on the right. It is carved into a layer of pyroclastic flow about 120,000 years old. Also known as the Hydrangea Temple, its hydrangeas bloom around mid-June.
