About this place
Kurashiki Ivy Square (English: KURASHIKI IVY SQUARE) is a complex tourist facility centered on a hotel in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. Designed by Shintaro Urabe. This facility is the former factory of Kurashiki Spinning (Kurabo), built in 1889 (Meiji 22) on the site of an Edo shogunate magistrate's office, and was renovated in 1973 (Showa 48) and revived as a tourist facility. It is managed and operated by Kurashiki Ivy Square Co., Ltd., an affiliate of Kurashiki Spinning, and is still Kurashiki Spinning's registered address.
