Overview
A hot spring in Maniwa, with inns along the Asahi River and a generous flow.
About this place
A hot spring area spreading along the Asahi River downstream of Yubara Dam in Okayama. It has abundant water volume and a highly alkaline spring quality with a smooth feel on the skin. Sunayu is a huge natural open-air bath made by hot spring water welling up from the riverbed and is the symbol of the hot spring town. Thanks to the cooperation of local people, it is open free of charge 24 hours. There are tubs of different temperatures called the beauty bath, the fertility bath, and the longevity bath.
