About this place
Bisei Astronomical Observatory (English: Bisei Astronomical Observatory, BAO) is an astronomical observatory in Bisei, Ibara, Okayama Prefecture. It is a public observatory with the largest public telescope in Okayama Prefecture (aperture 101 cm). There is also a replica of an armillary sphere (konten-gi), a full-size model made in China based on the original in China and assembled by Chinese engineers.
