About this place
Sakitama Kofun Park is a Saitama Prefecture-run urban park (wide-area park) in Gyoda, Saitama Prefecture. The Sakitama Kofun Group, about 1 km southeast of the urban area of Gyoda, was designated a Historic Site by the state in August 1938 (Showa 13) (upgraded to Special Historic Site in March 2020), and in 1967 (Showa 42), as a historic site park based on the Agency for Cultural Affairs' 'Fudoki no Oka Establishment Concept,' development began as 'Sakitama Fudoki no Oka,' the second Fudoki no Oka in Japan.
