About this place
Hiwadasan is a mountain in Hidaka, Saitama Prefecture. Its elevation is 305 m. It is one of the mountains of Oku-Musashi. Selected as one of the 100 Famous Mountains of Kanto, it is cherished as a symbol of Hidaka. Following the hiking course introduced in guidebooks and PR magazines from the nearest station, Koma Station, it is about 2 km, 40 minutes to the summit by the Onnazaka (Women's Slope), and from the top the high-rise cluster of Shinjuku and Tokyo Skytree can also be seen. On the way from the Koma Station side to Konpira Shrine there are slopes called Otokozaka (Men's Slope) and Onnazaka (Women's Slope); Otokozaka is a steep, hard rocky slope.
