Overview
Said to have been built in 1476 by Kagaharu Nagao. One of Japan's hundred fine castles, it was attacked during Hideyoshi's Odawara campaign.

Hachigata Castle History Museum Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (entry until 4:00 p.m.) Closed: Mondays (the following day if a holiday), the day after a holiday, year-end and New Year Admission: General 200 yen, high school and university students 100 yen, free for those aged 70 and over, junior high school students and younger, and holders of a disability certificate
