About this place
Hitsujiyama Park is a park in Omiya, Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture. It is known for Shibazakura no Oka (Moss Phlox Hill), where moss phlox is planted across the whole slope, and bustles with many tourists during the blooming season from early April to early May each year. It lies on the Hitsujiyama Hills, which extend north from Mount Bukko like a ridge, with a panoramic view of Chichibu's urban area to the west and a close-up view of the majestic form of Mount Bukko to the south. The park is divided north and south by a small valley in the middle, with Miharashi no Oka (Viewpoint Hill) and others in the north block and Shibazakura no Oka and others in the south block.
