The site of a temple of Ibukisanji in Maibara. Sixty priests' halls once stood here, and it also served as a fortress.
About this place
Temple ruins in Maibara, Shiga. It was one of the temples of Ibukiyama-ji, built by the monk Sanshu Shonin in the Heian period; in its day it had 60 monks' quarters and also served as a castle for the Kyogoku clan.
