About this place
The Imazu Vories Museum is a museum in Imazu-cho, Takashima, Shiga Prefecture. It is a historic building designed by William Merrill Vories, and faces 'Vories Street', where the Imazu Church chapel and the former Imazu Post Office, also designed by Vories, stand side by side. The building was constructed as the Imazu branch of the Hyakusanju-san Bank, designed by the Vories architectural office. Its exterior has a heavy finish that adopts the Western classical style seen in bank architecture of the same period.
