About this place
A sacred site in Ryuo, Shiga. It opened in 1937; at the opening ceremony more than eighty children formed a procession, and at the Buddha enshrinement ceremony a large saito goma fire ritual was held in front of Iwaya Fudo. On the 21st of every month, believers and ascetics visit without a break, and one circuit of the path takes about two hours.
