About this place
Shiga Prefectural Kibogaoka Bunka Park is a vast park with a site area of 4,160,000 m2, centered on Yasu, Shiga Prefecture and extending into Konan and Ryuo-cho, Gamo District. Construction began in 1969 (Showa 44) and the whole park was completed in September 1974 (Showa 49). Kibogaoka Bunka Park is divided mainly into the Cultural Zone, Sports Zone and Outdoor Activity Zone; in the Cultural Zone, facilities around Seinen no Shiro (Youth Castle) can be used for school orientations, sports training camps, corporate training and more.
