About this place
The traditional site of Yomotsu Hirasaka in Iya, Higashiizumo, Matsue, Shimane, which appears in the myths of the Kojiki as the boundary between this world and the land of Yomi (the land of the dead). It is located up a gentle slope about 300 m south of National Route 9, and has a Letter-to-Heaven Post.
