About this place
A hot spring in Tamatsukuri, Tamayu, Matsue. Said to be one of the oldest hot springs in Japan, opened in the Nara period, it is described in the Izumo no Kuni Fudoki as making one beautiful after one bath and curing all ills after another. Called a natural skin lotion and known as a beauty-skin bath, it has 3 free foot baths. The water is a sodium-calcium sulfate-chloride spring.
