About this place
Mimata Onsen is a hot spring in Hamada, Shimane Prefecture (formerly Kanagi Town). Alkaline simple spring (hypotonic alkaline high-temperature spring) It has a high pH and is rich in metasilicic acid, and because of its effects on the skin it has the nickname 'Beauty Hot Spring' (Bijin no Yu). There are also cosmetics that use the source water. Located in the mountains surrounded by Mt. Gongen and Mt. Hanashi, the hot spring town runs along the clear stream of the Ekoya River. There are lodging facilities (including simple lodgings) and day-use bathing facilities. The spring was opened in 1864 (Genji 1).
