About this place
An art museum on the shore of Lake Shinji in Sodeshi-cho, Matsue. Located beside Lake Shinji, chosen as one of Japan's 100 Best Sunsets, its distinction is a site where you can appreciate the sunset as art. Its collection includes paintings on the theme of water and Japanese prints, and it holds a Hokusai collection. The collection exhibition is 400 yen for general admission; closed on Tuesdays.
