About this place
A memorial museum in Okudani-cho, Matsue, for Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo), who introduced Japanese culture and folklore to the world through works such as Kwaidan. It displays his treasured belongings, first editions, and handwritten manuscripts, and in the Retelling corner you can listen to the ghost stories of the San'in region that he retold. The library on the 2nd floor has Hearn's works and related books.
