About this place
A prefectural museum east of Izumo Taisha in Taisha-cho, Izumo. It introduces the history and culture of Izumo Taisha and Shimane Prefecture, and displays items such as the 358 bronze swords (national treasures) from the Kojindani site and finds from the Kamo Iwakura site. Admission to the permanent exhibition is 680 yen for general visitors.
