About this place
The Okuizumo Orochi Loop is a loop road in Okuizumo, Nita District, Shimane Prefecture (National Route 314). It is part of the Miinohara Road linking Miinohara and Sakane in Okuizumo, Nita District, Shimane Prefecture (formerly Yokota Town). Its name comes from Yamata no Orochi, a legendary creature in Japanese mythology. It is a double loop with a section length of 2,360 m, a section elevation difference of 105 m, and minimum radii of 100 m (first loop) and 200 m (second loop).
