About this place
Dangyo no Taki is a waterfall on the Naku River, whose source is Mt. Yokoo, on Dogo Island of the Oki Islands (Okinoshima, Oki District, Shimane Prefecture). In addition to being selected for Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, the spring water at a source not far from the falls was selected in 1985 (Showa 60) as 'Dangyo no Taki Spring Water' among Japan's Top 100 Famous Waters. It is also the waterfall representing Japan's Top 100 Hidden Regions and the Oki Geopark.
