About this place
Ashikaga Flower Park (English name: Ashikaga Flower Park) is a flower theme park in Hazama-cho, Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture. It is one of the Three Famous Sights of Ashikaga. Its origin goes back to the 1920s, when the father of the president, Hayakawa, a large landowner of Horikomi-cho (now Asakura-cho), Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, planted a great wisteria in a corner of his garden. So that people in the neighborhood could enjoy that great wisteria, the garden was renovated in 1968 (Showa 43) and Hayakawa Farm, the predecessor of Ashikaga Flower Park, was established.
