About this place
Kinu Tateiwa Otsuribashi (Kinu Tateiwa Great Suspension Bridge) is a suspension bridge spanning Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture. Completed in 2009. It is a bridge over the Kinugawa River connecting the southern part of the Kinugawa Onsen hot spring town and Tateiwa. It is a pedestrian-only suspension bridge, free to cross, and vehicles may not pass. Likening the Kinugawa to a woman and Tateiwa to a man, it is also called the Bridge of Matchmaking, as a bridge joining man and woman. Because it is in the Kinugawa Onsen hot spring town, it is much used by tourists, mainly hotel guests. A free parking lot is provided right beside the bridge. 5 minutes from Kinugawa-onsen Station on the Tobu Kinugawa Line
