About this place
A waterfall and suspension bridge in Shiobara, Nasushiobara, Tochigi. "Hoko" means the roar of a tiger and the like, and "Hekireki" means a violent clap of thunder; the name describes the wild character of the falls, which pour down with a mighty sound as the name says. The suspension bridge spans the confluence of the Sukkan Sawa and Sakura Sawa at the source of the Kanomata River, where the sound of the stream echoes.
