A great ginkgo at a temple in the east of the prefecture.
About this place
A Koyasan Shingon sect temple near the Naruto coast in Naruto. A carving of Kobo Daishi was made on the ginkgo tree in 1960 (Showa 35), and it is an object of worship for local people. It is said that as the tree grows, the figure may gradually sink inside and become hidden.
