About this place
Amatsukado, said to be the grave of Sei Shonagon, in Sato-ura, Naruto. Sei Shonagon, a female poet of the Heian period, is said to have moved to Sato-ura in her later years and died there, relying on her family, as her father Kiyohara no Motosuke had been the lord of Sato-ura. About 15 minutes by car from Naruto IC.
