About this place
A shrine at the summit of Mt. Tsunomine in Tsunominecho-higashibun, Anan, Tokushima Prefecture. It is said to have begun in the first year of Jinki (724), when the deity Kashiwahime no Okami was enshrined on the summit following an oracle. Visitors can reach it by the Skyline road or the worship lift, and at the top of the lift there is a view of Tachibana Bay and, on clear days, the Onaruto Bridge and as far as Wakayama Prefecture. The worship lift costs 500 yen round trip, and the Tsunomine Skyline has been toll-free since April 2025.
