A 572-metre mountain on Kozushima. The summit is flat, with a pond and grassland in the old crater.
About this place
The highest mountain on Kozushima, at about 572 m above sea level. You can climb to the summit in under an hour. The route passes through a volcanic area thick with alpine plants, and from the observation deck at the summit you can look out over the Izu Islands, with a crater, a pasture and ponds. After the climb, you can cool off in the sea at the Akasaki Promenade.
