About this place
At Shinminato Fishing Port in Imizu you can watch the auction of fish and shellfish caught that day. In addition to the early morning auction, a midday auction is held from 12:30, and viewing is possible by advance reservation. You can see the exchanges between auctioneers and buyers up close; the first floor is the auction hall and the second floor is a viewing space exclusively for tourists.
