About this place
A waterfall 350 m tall in Tateyama, Toyama Prefecture. It is designated by the state as a Place of Scenic Beauty and Natural Monument, and is also among the 100 Waterfalls of Japan and the 100 Soundscapes of Japan. In spring the Hannoki Falls appears on the right side of Shomyo Falls, so that two falls cascade down. In autumn the autumn leaves of the gorge contrast with the white falls. At the Shomyo-daira rest area near the parking lot, the falls are explained with models and videos.
