About this place
A huge dam built in the great nature of Kurobe in Tateyama, Toyama Prefecture. It is 186 m high and was completed in seven years, at a total cost of 51.3 billion yen and with 10 million workers in all. In the sightseeing water discharge from June 26 to October 15, 10 to 15 tons of water per second gush out, and it can be seen up close from the observation deck, the Rainbow Terrace and other places. The specialty is Kurobe Dam curry.
