About this place
The Yuki no Otani (Snow Canyon) seen near Murodo Terminal on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in Toyama Prefecture. A road is made by cutting through snow that has piled up on the road, and the roughly 500 m stretch of snow walls created by clearing is called Yuki no Otani, with heights sometimes exceeding 20 m. At the Yuki no Otani Walk, one side of the road between the snow walls is opened as a pedestrian path.
