About this place
A gorge in Oiwa, Kamiichi, Toyama Prefecture. Right next to Oiwasan Nisseki-ji Temple, about a 3-minute walk, you can enjoy the scenery and moss without special equipment. Rocks and cliffs are almost entirely covered in moss, and it was selected as one of Japan's Precious Moss Forests by the Japan Society of Bryology. It is slippery from fallen leaves and moss, so watch your step.
