About this place
A waterfall in Nachikatsuura, revered as the sacred body of Hirou Shrine, a branch shrine of Kumano Nachi Taisha. Also called Ichi no Taki, it is collectively known as Nachi Great Falls together with Ni no Taki and San no Taki upstream. Designated a national Place of Scenic Beauty and one of Japan's three most famous waterfalls, it has a drop of 133 m.
