A hot spring in the castle town of the Kaminoyama domain, counted among the three pleasure resorts of Ou.

About this place

A hot spring said to be one of the Ou Sanrakugo, along with Higashiyama Onsen and Yunohama Onsen. It is divided into two areas: the Hayama, Kawasaki and Takamatsu area, on high ground with a view of the whole Zao range, and the Shinyu and Yumachi area, which keeps the look of a castle town and post town. The colorless, clear, smooth water is a gentle spring said to be safe even for babies, and is also called a beauty bath.
