About this place
Kahoku Town Children's Zoo is a zoo in Kahoku, Nishimurayama District, Yamagata Prefecture. It is a zoo on the grounds of the Kahoku Town Office. It opened after the town took in injured birds and animals. It is the only zoo in Yamagata Prefecture, and admission is free. Although it is called a children's zoo, people other than children may also enter. It is open all year round. It is also designated a wild bird and animal rescue center of Yamagata Prefecture.
