About this place
A waterfall in the Mogami Gorge along the Mogami River in Tozawa, Yamagata. One of Japan's 100 Waterfalls, it lies at the western end of the group of waterfalls in the Mogami Gorge and is the largest of them. It was named because the water falling into the Mogami River looks like white threads. A tiered fall with a drop of about 120 m, with a Fudo hall below and Kusanagi Onsen on the opposite bank. View it from the car park on the opposite bank.
