About this place
Yugawara Onsen is a hot spring in Yugawara, Ashigarashimo District, Kanagawa Prefecture. The name is also used collectively for Oku-Yugawara Onsen, Yugawara Onsen, Hama-Yugawara Onsen and Izu-Yugawara Onsen. Yugawara Onsen wells up inside the eroded caldera of the Yugawara volcano, which ceased activity several hundred thousand years ago. Skin diseases, muscle pain, rheumatism, neuralgia, sensitivity to cold, etc. Note: the effects are not guaranteed for everyone.
